Real Change

There is no such thing as accountability for government officials anymore. My grandparents generation put up with a little corruption because at the end of the day, government was held accountable for their actions. By who? Well, their employers of course; the American people.

We keep hearing about "change" from Obama and Hilary. The truth is that they do not represent change. Change would be a balanced budget. Obama and Hilary cannot achieve that. They want to universalize health care and try to save social security without privatizing it. That sure isn't going to balance the budget. They want to spend, spend, spend without considering where the money is going to come from and how the U.S. is going to pay off trillions of dollars in immediate debt. The Republican ticket won't balance the budget either! That is just the way is is.

Change would be going back to our roots; not just revering our founding fathers but putting their beliefs into action. Change would be less government. Hillary and Obama don't want less government. They want to intrude on every aspect of your life. They want control of your health care, your retirement, you jobs, your family. They want to tell you what to do and when to do it. They want to take God out of your lives. I wouldn't expect much better from the Republican ticket either though. To reduce the scope of government and get back to where we should be they would have to piss off a lot of people. And they just aren't willing to do that.

Change would be less talk and more action.
Change would be for these tired old politicians to stop feeding us the same old empty promises and get something done. Change would be for Democrats to stop looking for the next opportunity to attack conservatives and their values and spend that time getting something done for the American people. The people want government out of their personal lives. The people want to be protected from terrorists or any other enemy. The people want an end to illegal immigration and for illegal immigrants who are here to go home. The people want to be able to afford gas for their cars and to heat their homes. The people want the government to drill for more oil, to wave their bigger stick at the OPEC and tell them how it is going to be. The people want the politicians to do it, not just talk about it.

Change would mean term limits for all elected U.S. officials. The more time they spend in Washington, the less productive they are. The more time they spend in Washington, the more likely they are participate in earmark spending. The more time they spend in Washington, the better they know the ins and outs of ripping off the American people. The more time they spend in Washington, the more they follow their own personal agendas and ignore the wants and needs of their constituency. Democrats and Republicans alike.

Change would mean doing what is right instead of what is popular or most profitable. Change would be following the principals on which this country was founded which are most notably life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but also GOD, family, hard work and patriotism. Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves right now. Some would say, "there has to be natural progression". I agree. But we are not progressing people! We have progressed to the point of regression! I love the quote from the movie "The Patriot" when Mel Gibson's character says, "Why trade one tyrant 3,000 miles away for 3,000 tyrants one mile away"? Guess what folks... we now have a slew of tyrants sitting in Washington. It didn't start out that way. It used to be that people got into government to help their fellow man, to better the country in which they lived and because they genuinely loved being American. Now it is just seen as glamorous and lucrative.

I won't lie to you. I want to be one of those politicians in Washington one day. But I want to do my time and get out. Why do I want to do it? Because I love this country and I wake up every morning and thank God for being born in American. I tried joining the military. The Coast Guard wouldn't even take me because of my asthma. So, what better way to serve my country than to fight for they very changes I have just written about. And you better believe I won't forget where I came from. I won't forget my experience here in the Indiana statehouse, talking to once comfortable, middle-class citizens who are now on the brink of losing their homes, losing their jobs, losing their way of life because the government over taxes and under works.

I talk to Americans everyday who feel the same way I do. And yet, they buy into the same old lines of crap that politicians like Barack Obama feed them. They buy into the same old promises of change that they have heard for decades.

It is high time we held our elected officials more accountable. If they are not doing what you want them to do, vote them out the next chance you get. And if you can't find anyone who will work for you, then by God run for office yourself.

If things don't change, we all better be prepared to see a second American Revolution. People will not stand for taxation without representation (and when a representative is fighting for his/her own agenda, it cannot be considered representation). They will not stand for a government that does nothing but dig deeper into the pockets of its citizenry. There will come a point when the American people will be able to recognize an empty promise. They will recognize that politicians are not aiding progression, but halting it. They will recognize that our freedoms are being taken from us, we are being taxed to death (and after), that our great nation is no where near the beacon of hope that it once was. And when the people recognize this, they will be infuriated and they will storm Capitol Hill with pitchfork in right hand and torch in left.

Obama's Faith

I know that everyone was scared when it was believed that Senator Obama was a Muslim and that his father was himself or had ties to terrorists. Some still believe that his Christianity is a front. I don't know about you, but I might just choose radical Islam over his brand of Christianity. Watch this video of Barack's pastor, Jeremiah Wright, speaking about our country (which is run only by rich white people) and the way it has been treating Obama.

(click the back button when you are done watching)

Barack's Church is a black separatist church no matter what he or his pastor says. There is no denying it!!! They say they have white members, and they may have (maybe they are paid to be there) but I am not even sure members of this church, Trinity United in Chicago, would call themselves American. They actually call themselves an African People and say that they subscribe to "liberation theology". Liberation from what? Your own self-fulfilled prophecies? Liberation from your own people killing each other? I think the liberation movement is over Trinity United. I think you have obtained your liberation, and what do you do with it? Complain some more?

Here is a sample transcript from Jeremiah Wright's sermon "Journey's End". This is a shabby transcript because I listened to the sermon but could barely understand what Jeremiah was screaming about. What I did take from it were these 10 facts about America and Americans that he was spouting...

Fact#1- "There are more black men in prison than in Congress..."

Fact#2- "....racism is alive and well. Racism is how this country was founded..."

Fact#3- "America is the number one killer in the world...invaded Grenada for no other reason than to [get] Maurice Bishop...restored Panama because Noriega would no longer dance to our tune...."

Fact#4- "...We put Mandela in prison and supported apartheid for 27 years while he was there...we believe in white supremacy and black inferiority more than we believe in God..."

Fact#5- "...support Zionism shamelessly while ignoring Palestinians..."

Fact#6- "...conducted radiation experiments on our own people...care nothing about human life as long as the ends justify the means..."

Fact#7- "...we do not care if poor black and brown children cannot read and kill each other senselessly...we gave up on poor people..."

Fact#8- "...we started the AIDS virus...still we put more money into military than into medicine; into hate than into humanitarian concerns..."

Fact#9- "...we maintain our way of living by making sure third world people live in grinding poverty..."

Fact#10- "We are selfish, self-centered...arrogant...ignorant...and...And...AND God has got to be sick of this shit..."

This Pastor also has a sermon titled "Audacity of Hope" (like Obama's book)...well I cannot believe the audacity of this man to call "white America" racist while he deliberately separates his own (black) people from the rest of Christianity. He even has the audacity to compare the plight of African-Americans to the plight of Jesus who also suffered the wrath of rich white men. Excuse me Mr. Wright, America sells hate? It seems to me like you have been shooting hate from your mouth constantly for years.

Like I said before, I think I might prefer a Barack Obama who is a radical Islamist.

Governor Spitzer

Governor Spitzer of New York has finally announced his resignation which is effective Monday, March 17th leaving his legally blind Leutenit Governor to take his place. David Patterson will also be the state's first black governor.

I love it! The Dems keep digging holes...but are we the only ones who notice? When will the rest of America get tired of it?

I mean Kennedy had Marilyn Monroe for Pete's sake and at least Clinton used his intern (it wasn't directly paying for sex) but Spitzer will forever be "Client #9".

Cheating Has Always Been Wrong!

Cheating was wrong when we received our first homework assignment in grade school, then on into middle and high school. Cheating was wrong in college. Cheating was wrong in sports. Cheating is wrong in every single aspect of life...I guess except politics. That's the way the Dems look at it anyway.

Jon Elrod lost the race last night. I do not doubt that! He did not, however, lose by the margin that is reported. Why is this? Because the Dems cheated.

We took every precaution we could think of as a party last night (Republicans), but somehow they still managed to do it.

I personally counted the votes from 10 precincts, with a Dem partner of course. And, out of those 10 precincts, maybe 3 of them included count sheets with the ballots. What does this mean? This means that I had no idea how many ballots I was supposed to have from that precinct. I had no way of knowing whether or not our numbers matched with theirs.

Out of 10 precincts, the seals were broken on at least half of my ballot bags. But what was I supposed to do?

A couple of the precincts that I had no problems with (included count sheet and was sealed), were on my watch list (a list of precincts that we expected to have problems with) were carried by Jon Elrod by a large margin. These are precincts that have overwhelmingly voted Democrat (especially Julia Carson) in the past. And yet Jon carried them.

Anyone at Central Count last night knows that things were not as they should have been. Who will speak up?

Congrats Indy!!

Congratulations Indiana's 7th!! You have just elected a very inexperienced, black separatist Muslim to represent you in the U.S. House of Representatives!!

I have got to hand it to you! Even I could not have foreshadowed your stupidity!

When I left the Indiana Convention Center, after having watched the last ballots being fed into counting machines, Andre Carson was up by a good 10%. And why? Because his grandmother was Julia Carson? The man has spent 6 months on the Indianapolis City Council!! A position to which he was appointed!! How many times have I said that? And still, you decided he would best represent you as a member of Congress!!

You people disgust me! I am going to bed!

Indiana's Marriage Amendment

This was the scene at the south end of the Indiana statehouse today.

We were able to get a good look at the semi-trucks pulling up and dropping off the trailers from up here on the fourth floor. My co-workers and I got a good laugh out of it. I am not sure who is responsible for this stunt but I would place my money on Evangelical, Eric Miller (who may make a bid for Indiana Governor) and his organization "Advance America".

For those of you who don't know, the issue of a constitutional amendment to define marriage as between one man and one woman has been a hot issue in Indiana for the past few years. To make an amendment to the state constitution, it must pass two consecutive General Assemblies (or 2 election cycles). This was the last session for the amendment to pass the current Indiana General Assembly and it passed the previous one.

I am for the marriage amendment. I strongly believe in protecting the sanctity of marriage, but this stunt was just silly. There are two session days left in 2008 (Thursday and Friday) and the issue is dead. This means that the soonest the amendment could pass would be 2012. The way I see it, two semi trailers was a big waste of money for whoever did it.

Special Election Day! UPDATE: Voter Turnout Looking Up...

8:00am- The Clerk's office reports only around 6,000 voters have turned out so far compared to the 10,000 by the same time in the last general election in the 7th district. Low voter turnout has been a concern for both Andre Carson and Representative Jon Elrod.

Let's hope that the Dems are the ones staying home today!

UPDATE: 3:00pm Voter turnout is looking better. Reports that absentee ballot numbers are staggering. This could mean bad news for Jon. He has run a good campaign, especially for only having 3 months to run it. I hope that the voters in the 7th district look less at Andre Carson's name and more at his inexperience and sheer stupidity. This is not to mention his black separatist beliefs and Muslim faith. Oh boy, you got me started again!

(Hope to update you more but my time will be limited. I am an election commissioner tonight.)

Andre Carson and Louis Farrakhan

YouTube Vid I found day before special election. Please ignore the David Orentlicher spot at the end. He isn't even running!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RS6NPBc0Qs

If Louis Farrakhan thinks that Andre should succeed his grandmother (Andre being a Muslim himself) the rest of us should think twice!

For God's sake, vote for John Elrod for U.S. Congress tomorrow, March 11th special election!

Mail-In Redo?

Now the Dems are talking about doing a mail-in redo vote in Michigan and Florida. This idea is just stupid. There is enough opportunity for voter fraud without trying to conduct an entire primary via the U.S. Postal Service.

Michigan doesn't even have Party I.D. so leaders there would have to sort out all of those who voted in the Republican primary before sending out the ballots. Remember, I am from the once great state of Michigan, so I know the people, and understand their frustration. They want their votes to count but the only ones they have to blame are themselves and their party leaders who blatantly disobeyed the rules that were agreed upon a year and a half ago.

Hillary wants the delegates to be seated the way it stands now of course because she won both states. Is that fair? Hell no! Obama wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan. Along with Biden, Edwards, Richardson and Kucinich, Obama did the right thing and pulled out of the Michigan primary which was, as Biden called it, simply a "beauty contest". Party leaders from both of these states knew what they were getting into when they decided to hold their primaries early. Therefore, it is only right that their delegates not be seated at the convention. Period.

It is a simple decision of right and wrong and a product of lessons about following the rules we all should have learned in pre-school. If these delegates are seated, it will set a dangerous precedence for the Democratic party for future races.

What do I care though right? Maybe it is just my instinctive urge to fight for what is right, but this could very well lead to the destruction of the Dems for years to come, which I would be happy with!
